Greetings Concord Community Member:

We wanted to reach out and thank you if you have participated in the past, and to re/introduce our chapter and goals and ask for your help with a donation this year.  Concord Dollars for Scholars has always been led by an all-volunteer board and is a community scholarship organization established to encourage post-secondary education to Concord High School students. The goal is to raise and distribute scholarship funds to those students who desire to continue their education.  Since our inception in 1991, we have awarded over $1,500,000 in scholarships to over 2,700 Concord students.  Last year, the program was successful in awarding college bound seniors with a $1,000 scholarship. Thank you to everyone for their efforts and generosity that made those scholarships a reality.

To achieve our goals, the students and the board, along with many volunteers, work hard at fundraising activities. A pivotal part is to reach out for sponsorships from area businesses and community members.  You and/or your business's contributions will help make college a reality for qualified Concord seniors. A $750 contribution funds one scholarship, and sponsors will receive recognition at the May  Dollars for Scholars Senior Awards Breakfast and the scholarship will bear the name as you would like it to appear. A contribution of any size is greatly appreciated and will be added to the collective distribution fund.  These fund scholarships will receive recognition from contributors collectively, but cannot be designated to a specific senior and individual scholarships will not carry your name.  In addition, all fund contributions will be recognized in the Concord Sports and Music Programs.  All donations are tax deductible.

We are asking you to join us in continuing this worthwhile and successful program to help make a difference  for our students, their families and our community.  Investing in our youth is critical to develop the skills they need to enhance our workforce, participate more actively in society and produce a stronger economy for all our futures.

On behalf of the Dollars for Scholars Board, Concord High School, its alumni and its students, we sincerely thank you for considering this request.  If you have any questions or would like further information regarding the Dollars for Scholars program, please contact Concord High School Student Services office at 574-875-6524, email us at CCSDollarsforScholars@gmail.com.
